For an individual to participate in our ARES/RACES organization, he or she will register their contact information locally for use only in ARES/RACES activities. This is a requirement for registration and participation. To support the ARES mission and the concept of "Mutual Assistance", this information will be passed on to the state level via the ARRL SEC. This further legitimizes our operations and paves the way for potential use of our volunteers in a large-scale disaster without "paper-trail" delays. This also frees the volunteer from having to register at multiple levels. Individuals who do not want to "submit" to providing their information should not register on-line, and will not be considered available. Registered individuals may periodically receive by email or postal mail information, bulletins, or alerts pertaining to ARES/RACES. Use of this shared information for any other purpose violates our system of trust.
Our forums are powered by phpBB (hereinafter “they”, “them”, “their”, “phpBB software”, “www.phpbb.com”, “phpBB Group”, “phpBB Teams”) which is a bulletin board solution released under the “General Public License” (hereinafter “GPL”) and can be downloaded from www.phpbb.com.
